[ AJ JACKSON ]

My name is AJ Jackson. I am a video editor, born and based in Detroit, MI. My passion for editing began when I was 12 years old. I began as a self-taught editor. I attended College of Creative Studies as a Digital Film major, where I refined and strengthened my skills. I also completed various video projects & short films. One of my best works was a short film entitled After the Storm that I wrote, edited, and directed while managing a crew of five– three cinematographers and two actors. Upon completion, After the Storm was accepted into the prestigious CCS Student Exhibition. I went on to intern and work as an editor at different companies and agencies, in addition to taking on various freelance editing jobs over the years. I have edited for brands such as OnStar, Chevy New Roads, Valero, and Dole, to name a few. Recently, I edited a five-part series entitled The Mask that aired on The CW Twin Cities. Essentially, my goal with every project is to tell a fascinating visual story.
